Spreadsheet Proficiency and Statistical Understanding: Quick and intuitive grasp of spreadsheets (Excel preferred) and familiarity with statistics to “sense check” findings.
Data Storytelling Skills: Ability to craft concise and compelling narratives from data, including using visual mediums like PowerPoint and Google Slides, and to write whitepapers tailored for academic and business audiences.
Familiarity with Food Cultural Narratives: Understanding of cultural narratives surrounding food, and a willingness to explore and comprehend narratives shaping Americans’ food choices across various political and cultural belief systems, as seen in conventional and social media.
Interest in the Alternative Protein Industry: A genuine interest in the sector.
Commitment to Inclusive Work Environment: A dedication to fostering a respectful, supportive, fair, and welcoming work environment.
Strong Support for GFI’s Mission and Philosophy: Demonstrated interest in areas such as plant-based and other alternative proteins, public health, environmentalism, climate change, animal protection, or hunger relief.
