Job Description: Business Analyst Intern
Position Overview
CleanJoule is seeking a Business Analyst Intern for a 2-3 month internship. The primary focus of this role is to conduct market research and strategic analysis concentrated on Japan’s sustainable fuel and aviation sectors. The intern will provide support to CleanJoule’s international strategy team by uncovering key insights into Japanese market opportunities, identifying competitors, understanding regulatory frameworks, and exploring potential partnerships. This position is particularly suited for individuals possessing strong research capabilities, fluency in Japanese, and a profound interest in sustainability and global markets.
Responsibilities
• Conduct in-depth research on the Japanese sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) market, including its policy landscape, key industry players, and prevailing commercial trends.
• Analyze government initiatives, environmental regulations, and emerging technologies within Japan’s aviation and broader energy sectors.
• Identify key stakeholders, potential investors, and strategic partners within the Japanese region.
• Summarize research findings in well-structured reports, memos, and presentations for internal teams.
• Translate relevant Japanese-language market materials, policy documents, or communications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as business operations, strategy, and partnerships to support CleanJoule’s international strategy.
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree completed in Business, Economics, Environmental Science, International Relations, or a related academic field.
• Fluency in Japanese and proficiency in English are essential.
• Possession of strong market research and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated excellent written communication and presentation abilities.
• Familiarity with Japanese business culture and sustainability efforts is considered a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required; familiarity with market databases or research tools is an advantage.
