Job Description:

This role is an engineering position supporting the manufacture of credit cards. The responsibilities include:

• Working with the Corporate R&D / Industrialization department during the development of new products.
• Supporting Pilot production and approving mass production with the R&D team and Factory Engineering team.
Monitoring, maintaining, and improving existing processes by identifying issues, proposing corrective actions, and implementing them while demonstrating good problem-solving skills.
Developing and managing new processes and projects thoroughly, including proper documentation, consistent monitoring, and reporting up-to-date statuses to the Engineering Manager and Supervisor.
• Establishing production standards, manufacturing capabilities, and throughput capacities of all processes under engineering control for planning and scheduling needs.
Monitoring, supporting, and improving production yield rates in accordance with manufacturing goals.
Investigating customer complaints with Quality Assurance, Production, and Client Services, and making recommendations regarding quality controls to resolve customer complaint issues.
• Ensuring and following all OSHA and company safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) with emphasis in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, or chemical engineering.
• Understanding of engineering principles including developing, qualifying, and implementing new production processes within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent time management, communications, presentation, and organization skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, engineering drawings, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inferences, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Knowledge of thermal dynamics principles.
• Experience with new products development, qualification, and introduction.
• Experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving using different methodologies (8D, 6 Sigma, QRQC, etc.).
• Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel.
