Job Description:
Position: Radiology Assistant
Department: Diagnostic Radiology
Schedule: PRN – Rotating (as needed)
Location: Ascension Sacred Heart – Bay, Panama City, Florida
Responsibilities:
• Provide services to patients under the direct supervision of technologists and physicians.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, selecting exposure factors accurately.
• Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
• Prepare for and assist technologists and physicians in a variety of imaging procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage areas, and other department areas.
Requirements:
• Licensure/Certification/Registration:
• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Education:
• High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline.
