Fall 2025 Internship Program – Chicago Opportunities
Lettuce Entertain You is offering a Fall Internship Program with a culinary focus. This is an abbreviated program consisting of educational meetings and practical restaurant experience.
Program Details:
• Educational Meetings: September 23 – December 16, 2025. Interns will attend bi-weekly meetings at the Lettuce Corporate office on Chicago’s far northside. These meetings will cover topics such as restaurant financials, menu creation, and marketing, led by Lettuce industry experts.
• Practical Portion: Interns will work an hourly role in one of their Illinois restaurants. The start and end dates for the practical portion will be agreed upon by the restaurant operators and the intern.
• Hourly Role: Interns will be hired in an hourly role within a restaurant. This could include positions such as host, server, runner, busser, or cook.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in and complete designated program activities (seminars, feedback sessions, group events).
• Perform essential functions and key responsibilities listed in the hourly job description for the assigned role.
• Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment.
• Work a variety of days and shifts, including weekends and nights.
• Effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements.
• Multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment.
• Work in a confined, crowded space of variable light, noise, and temperature levels.
• Ability to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to sit or stand for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant.
Requirements:
• Currently a junior year (or higher) college/university student studying hospitality, culinary arts, or business.
• Ability to commute to the Lettuce Corporate office on Chicago’s far northside.
• Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
Compensation:
• USD $16.20 – USD $20.00 /Hr.
