Job Description:
This posting is for the Community College Internship (CCI) program at PNNL. The CCI program is designed to encourage undergraduate students and recent graduates to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Selected students will participate as interns, appointed at PNNL, and conduct research under the guidance of laboratory staff scientists or engineers on projects supporting the DOE mission.
Key aspects of the internship include:
• Research Experience: Interns will perform research on projects that align with the DOE mission.
• Mentorship: Interns will work under the guidance of PNNL staff scientists and engineers.
• STEM Career Development: The program aims to foster interest and provide experience in STEM fields.
Qualifications (as determined and verified by DOE-WDTS):
• Must meet the eligibility requirements established by DOE-WDTS for the CCI program.
• A current application in the Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientist (WDTS) system is required.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident at the time of application.
The hourly pay range for this position is $16.66 to $30.00 per hour, with the starting pay determined based on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
