Job Description:

This is an internship opportunity through the Community College Internship (CCI) program at PNNL. The Community College Internship (CCI) program encourages undergraduate students and recent graduates to pursue science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers by providing research experiences at the Department of Energy (DOE) laboratories. Selected students will participate as interns at PNNL, performing research under the guidance of laboratory staff scientists or engineers on projects supporting the DOE mission.

Key aspects of the internship:

Research Focus: Interns will be involved in research projects that support the DOE mission.
Mentorship: Interns will work under the guidance of laboratory staff scientists or engineers.
Location: Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in eastern Washington State.
Directorate Alignment: Interns will be aligned with one of PNNL’s Directorates, which are major departments focused on specific areas of scientific research.

Eligibility:

• Must apply to a DOE-WDTS website and meet the eligibility established and verified by DOE-WDTS.
• A current application in the Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientist (WDTS) system is required.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident at the time of application.

Pay Range:

• $16.66/Hr. – $30.00/Hr. (placement is determined based on skills, qualifications, and experience).
