Job Description:
The County of Los Angeles is seeking a Student Worker, Information Technology to provide support across various IT functions. This is a temporary, part-time position that will be compensated on an hourly as-needed basis for up to 30 hours per week during instructional period. The student worker program is designed to give you on-the-job training. The pay is $22.09 Hourly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Installing and configuring desktop software and hardware (PCs, printers, modems).
• Participating in the analysis, design, evaluation, testing, and implementation of computer systems.
• Providing customer service through help desk support and interacting directly with network users.
• Conducting hardware and software inventories.
• Assisting in programming tasks (program design, coding, testing).
• Making simple modifications to web page content.
• Preparing operating documentation.
• Conducting training sessions for staff.
• Assisting users in resolving network, software, and hardware problems.
• Assisting in ad hoc report development.
Requirements:
• Current enrollment in an accredited college or community college with specialization in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to use an alternative method of transportation when needed.

• Candidates meeting the minimum requirements will be invited to take multiple-choice and/or simulation assessments.
• Passing candidates will be placed on an eligible register for 12 months.
