The Hilliard Corporation is offering a Manufacturing Engineer Intern position in Elmira, NY, specifically within the Drive Train Manufacturing department. This internship provides valuable experience in various engineering areas, with the intern working alongside engineers with diverse specialties. The hourly salary range is $15.00 – $24.00 and the job shift will be during the day.
Key responsibilities include:
• Designing fixturing and devices for new and existing Drive Train product assembly, encompassing automated assembly lines, semi-auto, or manual work cells.
• Assisting in troubleshooting manufacturing processes and equipment problems as needed.
• Exposure to CNC Machining Centers, PLC programming, HMI programming, robotic (FANUC) programming, and servo programming.
• Recommending design or process improvements on existing Drive Train products to lower cost and improve performance.
• Writing ISO procedures for new processes.
