Job Title: Technical Design & Product Development Intern (2 days/week)

Location: Somerville MA

Duration: 2–3 months

Schedule: Part-time (2 days/week)

Position Overview:

Janji is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support their Technical Designer and Product Developer. This internship provides hands-on industry experience in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, ideal for someone with a passion for apparel design, product development, and fit in performance wear.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with organizing, measuring and preparing samples for fittings.
• Support the product team during fit sessions.
• Scheduling fit sessions.
• Assist in updating tech packs, measurement charts, and fit comments.
• Help sample tracking and check-ins.
• Assist in day-to-day tasks related to fabric, trim, and lab dip approvals.
• Organize swatches, samples, and tech files.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure alignment across the design and development stages.

Ideal Candidate:

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Fashion Design, Apparel Product Development, or a related field
• Strong interest in technical design, fit, and product development
• Basic understanding of garment construction and technical specifications
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and Google Suite
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Interest in running, sports, or performance apparel is a plus
