Job Description
This position, located at METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER, involves assisting with and providing patient care for infants through adults under the direction of the Nurse Manager or a designated RN-Clinical Nurse. The role is part-time, with 16 biweekly hours and shift options of 7a-3p or 3p-11p.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assists with patient care tasks as directed, performing only those skills documented in the Record of Activity of Orientation (RAO).
• Supports the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
• Required:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Completion of nursing fundamentals and currently registered in clinicals.
• Continuous enrollment in the nursing program or a graduate of a nursing program and board eligible.
• BLS Certification from the AHA for healthcare providers (or obtained within 90 days of hire).
• Eligibility in the position lasts for a maximum of 6 months after graduation from nursing school.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Physical Requirements:
• May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the day.
• May require extended periods of sitting or standing.
• Normal visual range (corrected or uncorrected).
• Normal audio range (corrected or uncorrected).
• Ability to lift 250-300 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance.
• Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, chemicals, and cleaning products is possible.
