Job Description:

Job Title: (Implied) Radiology/CT Student Assistant

Location: Hershey, PA

Work Type: PRN (as needed)

FTE: 0.001 (very limited hours)

Shift: Varied

Pay Differentials: Evening Shift: $2.00/hour, Night Shift: $2.50/hour

Summary:

This PRN position is designed for students in a Penn State affiliated ARRT Allied Health program to gain practical experience in a radiology environment. The role involves assisting with diagnostic imaging procedures related to the Head, Chest, Abdomen, and Pelvis. A key responsibility will be assisting CT Technologists with patient movement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in performing diagnostic imaging procedures, specifically related to the Head, Chest, Abdomen, and Pelvis.
• Aiding CT Technologists with patient transfer to and from examination rooms and CT tables.
• General support to the radiology department as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a student in good standing in a Penn State affiliated ARRT Allied Health program.
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience in a Department of Radiology required.
• Must have passed all related Competency Exams, as directed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with basic patient care skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• RIS (Radiology Information System) experience is preferred.
