Position Title: R&D Intern (7-week internship)
Department: Research & Development
Summary: This internship provides hands-on experience in the research and development of energy solutions. The intern will work closely with the R&D team, supporting various projects and functions within the central laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
• Learn fundamental testing procedures for AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat), pasting paper, and other materials used in energy solution applications.
• Assist the Energy Solutions team in testing various products, including new battery separators, pasting papers, thermal barriers, and fiber developments.
• Support the development of new compressibility tests.
• Conduct statistical analysis on media characterizations.
• Assist the team during paper machine trials and subsequent product analysis.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a degree in engineering (chemical or mechanical engineering preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to tasks.
