About the Company:

FASTSIGNS is a franchise that manufactures a variety of printing and marketing solutions including signs, banners, window films, wall and floor graphics, installations, and more. They are seeking a Graphic Designer / Output Specialist to join their creative services team. This is a position at an independently owned and operated franchise location, not FASTSIGNS corporate.

Job Description: Graphic Designer / Output Specialist

This role combines graphic design with hands-on production. The primary responsibility is to create computer-generated vinyl and/or full-color graphics for output, weeding, cutting, application, printing, and mounting onto substrates. The successful candidate will work closely with team members to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Design & Production: Prepares comprehensive layouts, mockups, proofs, and copy for print reproduction based on client and sales team instructions. This includes logo modifications and sourcing high-quality digital files. Prepares files for output, adding bleeds, crop marks, die-lines, hole locations, and other finishing layers; archives files for future use. Inspects all jobs for accuracy and quality before production.
Production Operation: Loads materials onto printers, table routers, laser cutters, and engravers (may involve heavy lifting).
Record Keeping: Maintains accurate electronic and paper records.
Multitasking: Manages multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications:

Required: High school diploma or GED (advanced degree preferred); experience in graphic design/print production using PCs and Macs; expert knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; knowledge of various graphics programs and output devices (vinyl plotters, large-format printers, laser engravers, CNC routers); strong math and proofreading skills (spelling and grammar); ability to work under pressure and produce high-volume, high-quality work; strong organizational and time management skills; ability to lift 50 pounds; strong communication and interpersonal skills; exceptional attention to detail. Prompt, reliable, and responsible.
Preferred: Signage experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: $31,000 – $45,000
Benefits: Paid holidays, paid vacation and sick time, paid overtime (as needed), Monday-Friday 8 am – 5 pm work hours.
