Job Description: Product Support Engineer (Mid-Level or Lead)

The C-40A program is seeking a Product Support Engineer (Mid-Level or Lead) to join the Sustainment Team for our 737-700 Commercial Derivative Aircraft in Tukwila, Washington. This is a 100% onsite position.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze reported problems from the US Navy for potential safety issues; recommend and manage resolution.
• Identify Manufacturing and Supplier Quality escapements on in-service airplanes and notify Quality Assurance and various customers.
• Develop customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of the airframe, systems, and support equipment.
• Provide engineering authority release for logistics issues such as Service Actions and technical recommendations; coordinate issues from production with the fleet.
• Lead projects to resolve complex program issues.
• Lead research and develop engineering updates of very complex, highly visible technical in-service issues; determine safety implications, prepare analysis, recommendations, and presentations regarding safety processes.
• Develop and evaluate engineering solutions related to product support concerns.
• Prepare plans and develop new processes, methods, as well as service and support concepts integral to the design of each new and derivative product.
• Research and analyze fleet data; participate on design/improvement teams to drive and implement improvements.
• Lead communications and presentation material for dissemination to customers.
• Complete all other duties and tasks assigned by management.
• Work under minimal direction and mentor early career employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering
3+ years of experience with strong oral and written communication skills
5+ years of experience in an engineering role
• Strong background in all 737 NG aircraft systems with a focus on Flight Controls Systems, Pneumatic and Environmental Control Systems (ECS), Fire Protection Systems, Hydraulic Systems, and Fuel Systems
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

9+ years of experience in an engineering role
• Experience in Service Engineering and/or Field Service related aircraft maintenance
• Experience in Service Engineering (Commercial or Military) and/or Field Service related 737 NG aircraft maintenance in the area of Flight Controls Systems, Pneumatic and Environmental Control Systems (ECS), Fire Protection Systems, Hydraulic Systems, and Fuel Systems with knowledge of ATA Chapters 20 through 47.
• Experience with REDARS; researching parts, assemblies (e.g., interchangeability, effectivity, technical drawing clarification, product revisions, accurate parts listing by researching engineering drawings, technical publications, and other technical documents)
• Experience with aircraft-related systems, and familiarity with electronic drawing management systems
• Experience using Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Project

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Compensation: Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary Pay Ranges are provided for Lead Levels 3 and 4.

Level 3: $94,350 – $127,650
Level 4: $115,600 – $156,400
