Job Description: Early Career Project Management
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to projects that aim to improve healthcare outcomes. The role involves assisting with various aspects of project management for small to medium-sized projects.
Essential Job Functions:
• Assisting in establishing project objectives and coordinating deliverables.
• Ensuring adherence to schedules, deadlines, and product specifications.
• Escalating significant issues to appropriate personnel.
• Monitoring and adjusting project objectives in response to changing business needs.
• Providing data to support necessary changes.
• Coordinating inter-project dependencies, resource allocation, release planning, technology, and architecture.
• Assisting in budget planning, monitoring, and control to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Monitoring project progress and providing updates to management, boards, committees, and business function managers.
• Interacting with clients and program steering boards to communicate progress and address issues.
• Assisting in managing changes to project scope, benefits, costs, and timelines while mitigating financial risks.
• Ensuring adherence to established project management methodologies.
Basic Qualifications:
• Zero or more years of experience in project planning.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (including MS Project, Smartsheets, and Jira).
• Experience with project management methodologies (including budget development, project planning, control, and assurance).
• Familiarity with project management software, finance, and accounting concepts and practices.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Work Environment:
• While Baton Rouge, LA local candidates are preferred, remote work is also a possibility.
• Video camera use is mandatory during interviews and the initial week of orientation.
• The salary range is $44,500.00 – $63,500.00 per year, but the actual offer may vary based on location, internal equity, and experience.
