Job Description: Summer 2025 GNC Flight Software Internship
Millennium Space Systems seeks highly motivated interns for the summer of 2025 to contribute to the development of affordable, high-reliability space systems. Ideal candidates possess practical problem-solving skills demonstrated through hobbies, academic projects, or prior internships.
The internship’s primary focus is supporting the advancement of the company’s core GNC (Guidance, Navigation, and Control) flight software framework. Responsibilities include:
• Improving the testing framework: Enhancing existing tools and processes for GNC flight software.
• Refactoring code: Modifying MATLAB and Simulink code to adhere to best coding practices.
• Software architecture improvements: Designing and implementing changes to promote modularity, adaptability, and testability.
• Performance assessment: Utilizing existing GNC tools to evaluate vehicle design performance.
• Program support: Assisting with various aspects of program execution as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink.
• Working knowledge of dynamics and control system theory.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering or a related technical field.
Graduate Student Pay Range: $20.67/hr – $48.08/hr
Important Notes:
Millennium is a DDTC-registered, ITAR-compliant company. The position requires special access, mandating U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance. Applicants must be willing to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
