Job Description: Software Development Engineer Intern

Responsibilities: The Software Development Engineer Intern will participate fully in the software development lifecycle, including:

• Attending and participating in scrum events (sprint, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review, sprint retrospective).
• Participating in team and departmental meetings.
• Assisting with vulnerabilities remediation.
• Assisting with building/improving DevOps tooling (pipelines, static scanning, etc.).
• Completing a final capstone presentation for the internship program.
• Maintaining a “production-first” mindset, focusing on scale, uptime, and rapid triage/resolution of production issues.
• Contributing to the improvement of Agile practices to enhance product quality and time-to-market.
• Developing product features for data marketplaces, mobile applications, web applications, and API services.

Qualifications:

• Must be a student pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or Statistics from an accredited college or university, with at least one semester remaining after the internship start date.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
• Junior or Senior classification preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (including presentation skills to business leaders).
• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous internship experience is a plus.
