• Mission: Improve Five9’s AI capabilities by assisting with data, developing NLP models, and integrating research insights.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Management: Assist in the collection, preprocessing, and quality assurance of datasets to enhance Five9’s AI capabilities.
• Model Development: Support the development and fine-tuning of NLP models/pipelines for tasks such as text classification, summarization, and conversational AI.
• Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research insights into production pipelines.
• Performance Evaluation: Participate in evaluating model performance using suitable methodologies and metrics, and contribute to iterative improvements.
• Research & Innovation: Stay current with the latest advancements in NLP and machine learning research, contributing ideas that drive innovation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Rising college senior or a post-graduate student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, or a related field.
• Experience: Strong programming skills in Python; familiarity with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch and Scikit-learn; exposure to transformer-based models and Hugging Face Transformers; experience working with LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
• Skills: Python programming, data analysis, NLP model development, model performance evaluation, applying new AI technologies.
• Bonus: Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a keen interest in exploring and applying new technologies in AI.
