Job Description: UX Research Intern, Summer 2025

This is a full-time internship running from May to August 2025 (Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week). The intern will contribute to improving Meraki’s products by delivering customer insights. This involves collaborating with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Gain a deep understanding of user needs and pain points through thorough research and analysis of user workflows and the product domain.
• Plan and execute various UX research studies, including user interviews, usability testing, and surveys. The goal is to gather insights into user behavior and interactions with Meraki’s products.
• Analyze research data to identify key patterns and trends. Effectively communicate these findings to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner, ensuring research outcomes inform product decisions.
• Translate research insights into actionable product recommendations that drive user-centered design decisions.
• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers in a co-creative process. Actively share ideas and feedback to foster a collaborative environment and incorporate user-centric principles into the design process.

Qualifications:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.
• Must be an upcoming graduate of a Master’s Program, Ph.D. Program, technical degree, or certification program from a Technical Boot Camp, or Apprenticeship.
• Proficiency in conducting UX research studies using both qualitative and quantitative methods (user interviews, usability testing, A/B testing, data analysis, persona mapping).
• Expertise in user-centered research and human-centered design principles, prioritizing user needs and preferences in design decisions.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with individuals from various disciplines (engineering, product, etc.).
• Proven ability to identify and solve problems within screen-based products, iteratively developing and evaluating solutions.
• A basic understanding of front-end code (HTML/CSS) is beneficial for effective communication with development teams.
