Accounting Internship – Summer 2027 (Paid) | CSX

The Tone:
This is a paid summer internship at CSX, located in Jacksonville, Florida. CSX is a Fortune 500 premier transportation company that provides rail, intermodal, and rail-to-truck transload services and solutions across various markets in the eastern United States. This role is crucial for future business leaders to gain real-world accounting experience, contribute to core departmental operations, and develop professional connections within the industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate: Learn and engage in core areas of the accounting organization.
• Contribute: Support special projects related to field employees, technology, customer relationships, and financial objectives.
• Engage: Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives.
• Conduct: Perform accounting research and comprehensive analysis.
• Communicate: Present the results of research and analyses to department leaders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related major from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week for the 10-week program (May 24, 2027 – July 30, 2027). Must be 18 years of age.
• Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills, coupled with a demonstrated interest in accounting or finance.
• Bonus: Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.5, previous internship or relevant work experience, and demonstrated leadership through student organizations or other activities.
