This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate classification, accounting, and reporting of the company’s fixed assets, directly contributing to the integrity of its financial statements and supporting operational teams with critical financial information.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Categorize: Ensure assets are properly categorized in the Business Assets system based on established criteria and guidelines.
• Review: Examine invoices for appropriate capitalization or expense within the Workday system.
• Support: Respond to inquiries from the Facilities team and general managers regarding asset capitalization, repairs, and maintenance.
• Record: Document changes in asset status, including disposals, transfers, and adjustments within the accounting system.
• Retrieve: Assist in gathering fixed asset invoices as required for sales tax audits.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with coursework in Accounting required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of related experience, with a preference for experience gained in a retail or hospitality environment.
• Skills: Fixed assets accounting, invoice review and classification, financial reporting assistance, and general accounting principles.
• Bonus: Successful completion of annual store training if hired, and obtaining a valid Food Handler’s Card within 30 days of employment.
