Corporate Tax Intern (Summer 2027) | Zurn Elkay Water Solutions

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Zurn Elkay Water Solutions, located in Milwaukee, WI. This role is vital in supporting the company’s global corporate tax function, ensuring compliance and providing essential assistance across various tax responsibilities.

The TL;DR

• Team: Reports to the Domestic Tax Manager and various other members of the Tax Department
• Mission: Assist the corporate tax function with tax return preparation, audit support, and global tax-related assistance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Serve as direct support for the Domestic Tax Manager and other members of the Tax Department.
• Indirect Tax Filings: Assist with the preparation of sales and use tax returns, along with other indirect tax filings.
• US Tax Returns: Provide assistance in preparing U.S. federal and state tax returns.
• Tax Research: Conduct research pertaining to specific tax matters.
• Project Support: Validate tax exemption certificates and contribute to special projects as needed, including identifying process improvement opportunities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: No specific prior work experience required, but must be able to work 40 hours per week during the summer.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills; the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously; proficiency with MS Office Suite; strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: A GPA of 3.5 or higher is strongly preferred; prior experience working in an office setting is a plus; preferably a Junior or Senior.
