2027 Corporate Intern – Audit, Year-Round | Associated Bank

The Tone:
This is a year-round internship with Associated Bank, located in Illinois, United States. Associated Bank is a financial institution serving over 120 communities across Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, and Missouri. • Team: Wealth Management Audit Practice Group, collaborating with Audit Managers and Internal Audit leadership
• Mission: This person performs audit testing and assists with fieldwork for the Wealth Management Audit Practice Group, contributing to audit conclusions and developing an understanding of internal audit methodology, risk, and controls.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate: Engage in structured corporate internship programming, including orientation, workshops, networking events, research projects, and professional development activities.
• Test: Perform audit testing and assist with fieldwork specifically for the Wealth Management Audit Practice Group.
• Document: Document audit testing results and support the development of comprehensive audit conclusions.
• Collaborate: Work closely with Wealth Management Audit team members, Audit Managers, Internal Audit leadership, and audit stakeholders throughout various audit activities.
• Own: Take ownership of assigned testing and audit support activities, while effectively communicating priorities, schedules, and progress with the team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree student with sophomore, junior, or senior standing at the time of internship start date; must not have graduated prior to internship start date. Core domain knowledge in corporate audit.
• Experience: No specific years of prior experience are required as this is an internship providing hands-on experience in audit functions within Wealth Management.
• Skills: Critical thinking, attention to detail, time management, strong organizational skills, and effective communication.
