The Tone:
This is a full-time role at the Singapore Economic Development Board, located in Singapore. The Board focuses on sustaining Singapore’s economic vibrancy and is expanding its commitment to sustainable development, particularly within the tourism sector. This role is crucial for driving Singapore’s sustainable tourism initiatives, ensuring global recognition, and fostering industry-wide adoption of best practices. You will contribute directly to affirming Singapore’s leadership in sustainability on a global stage.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person – Singapore

• Team: Sustainability and Reporting team
• Mission: Owns the implementation, reporting, and promotion of Singapore’s sustainable tourism strategy.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead: Drive Singapore’s Global Sustainable Tourism Council Destination (GSTC) Certification efforts to affirm national sustainability.
• Engage: Proliferate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to implement STB’s comprehensive sustainability strategy.
• Organize: Manage the planning and execution of industry events, such as Sustainable Tourism Conversations, bringing together key players.
• Report: Oversee sustainability reporting, including content curation for STB’s annual reports and working with consultants to enhance them, ensuring alignment with standards.
• Communicate: Manage sustainability marketing and communication, providing updates on developments and curating sustainable tourism materials.

• Background: Senior level professional with a background in communications, marketing, sustainability, business, or finance.
• Experience: Proven ability in project management, including timely task follow-up, and effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Skills: Strong communication, analytical thinking, business acumen, and sound judgment.
