Accounting Analyst I | Everest

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at Everest, located in Warren, NJ. This role is crucial for an Investment Accountant to interact and support several aspects of accounting, financial analysis, and reporting for the group, contributing to disciplined capital allocation and long-term value creation. This position requires three days in-office and offers remote work for the remaining days.

• Mission: To manage the accurate accounting, analysis, and reporting of investments on both U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory bases for the group.
• Tech Stack: Excel, PAM (a plus), Bloomberg (a plus), Oracle (a plus)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Investment Reporting: Execute accounting and reporting of investments in accordance with U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory requirements.
• Close Process Management: Participate in the monthly and quarterly investment close process.
• Regulatory Filings: Prepare various U.S. statutory investment schedules and U.S. GAAP and SEC investment disclosures (10-Q, 10-K).
• Financial Analysis: Provide monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses along with account reconciliations.
• International Support: Assist with local reporting for foreign branches and subsidiaries.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent degree, or a business degree with accounting experience; Entry-Level career experience.
• Experience: Proven accounting experience. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Skills: Highly skilled in math, accounting, and financial processes; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; highly proficient with Excel.
• Bonus: Knowledge of PAM, Bloomberg, or Oracle systems; experience within the insurance or reinsurance industry.
