Tax & Assurance Associate | TKR Accountants & Advisors

This role is crucial for delivering essential tax compliance, tax planning, and assurance services to clients, supporting both TKR’s strategic vision and Current’s mission to foster growth and development for its people.

• Mission: This person will provide comprehensive tax and assurance services, assisting clients with tax return preparation, financial reporting, and issue resolution to ensure compliance and strategic financial management.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Compliance & Reporting: Prepare federal and state income tax returns, along with year-end tax projections, ensuring accurate and timely client submissions.
• Tax Advisory & Research: Conduct research on relevant tax issues, communicate their potential impact on clients’ businesses, and contribute to the development of tax planning strategies.
• Assurance Engagement Execution: Assist in the planning and execution of assurance engagements, including conducting detailed testing procedures.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate financial statements and support other critical financial reporting matters for clients.
• Client Solutions: Identify client issues related to tax and financial reporting, actively assisting in their resolution and providing responsive support.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, demonstrating solid academic performance and achievement in relevant areas of study.
• Experience: No specific prior work experience is required, though any relevant internship or work experience is helpful for this associate-level position.
• Skills: Possess technical accounting knowledge, strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and team interactions, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, the capacity to work effectively both on a team and independently, and effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks.
• Bonus: Prior relevant internship or work experience is a plus.
