What You’ll Actually Do
• Auditing: Perform substantive auditing procedures in assigned areas for nonprofit clients.
• Comprehension: Obtain a clear understanding of the work to be performed and its specific purpose.
• Documentation: Prepare working papers that thoroughly document the tests performed and procedures followed to substantiate conclusions.
• Compliance: Be alert to the proper and consistent application of accounting principles while performing audit procedures.
• Reporting: Identify and document control deficiencies or other matters that warrant management’s attention.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level student actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, having completed two or more years of university education by the time the internship starts.
• Experience: Familiarity with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Skills: Demonstrated written and oral communication; Ability to work independently and as a team; High degree of discretion when dealing with confidential information.
