Staff Accountant | Pete & Gerry’s Organics, LLC

This is a full-time, hybrid role at Pete & Gerry’s Organics, LLC, based in Salem, NH. This Staff Accountant position plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of an organization deeply rooted in its mission to do what’s right.

• Mission: Assist in the monthly close process, prepare general ledger account reconciliations, and support audit and tax preparation to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP (or similar ERP systems), Excel, other Microsoft Office tools
What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Prepare and reconcile monthly journal entries for general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist: Assist in the month-end close process by compiling and analyzing critical financial information.
• Support: Support year-end audit and tax preparation by gathering and organizing necessary supporting documents.
• Ensure: Ensure adherence to Company internal controls through diligent documentation and testing.
• Streamline: Proactively identify and implement opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, establishing foundational knowledge in financial principles and practices.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience is essential, with demonstrated hands-on experience applying US GAAP accrual accounting principles.
• Skills: Candidates must possess excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail, crucial for financial accuracy. Comprehensive knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools is expected, alongside excellent written and verbal communication abilities for effective collaboration.
• Bonus: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP, or similar ERP systems is a plus. An MBA, CPA, or CMA is preferred but not required, as is experience in a manufacturing and/or CPG environment.
