Operations Management Development Program – July 2027 | Precision Castparts
The Tone:
This is a high-velocity two-year rotational development program at Precision Castparts, a leading manufacturing company. The program is powering the future by taking emergent talent, specifically seniors graduating in Spring 2027 or recent graduates, through comprehensive learning experiences. Participants will be prepared for leadership in operations management within our diverse manufacturing facilities across various US locations, with a start date of July 12, 2027, requiring a willingness to relocate. This program is critical for building the next generation of operational leaders who will drive success across the organization.

• Mission: To prepare emergent talent for leadership in operations management within manufacturing facilities through immersive, hands-on experience.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Cultivate Leadership Skills: Develop critical leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills through immersive, hands-on experience, working alongside experienced professionals and mentors.
• Gain Operational Expertise: Achieve a comprehensive understanding of the business by learning every process, system, and team dynamic, including shadowing departments and connecting with employees to understand real challenges.
• Drive Strategic Improvements: Lead impactful projects during deep-dive immersion, focusing on driving improvements in key metrics such as safety, quality, cost, and productivity within manufacturing facilities.
• Oversee Production Operations: Step into a full Operations Supervisor role, taking direct responsibility for people, performance, and outcomes, and owning key metrics across safety, quality, throughput, cost, productivity, and team development.
• Engage in Continuous Development: Access a robust training suite, including in-person sessions from industry experts, PCC leadership, and an extensive online library, alongside opportunities to benchmark best practices at other facilities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This entry-level position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field such as Operations or Industrial Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Systems, Engineering Management, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience: Candidates must possess prior co-op or internship experience gained within a manufacturing environment, alongside demonstrated leadership capacity through club, organization, or activity involvement.
• Skills: Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, and the capacity to multi-task effectively in a high-activity environment with tight deadlines. Additionally, candidates must exercise strong time management and prioritization skills, maintain a flexible schedule (including working outside standard business hours), and have a high level of interest in management and operations roles.
• Other Requirements: Must be a US Person and willing to relocate to various program locations within the United States.
