The Tone:
This is a rotational program position at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc., located in New Britain, CT or Towson, MD with a hybrid work schedule of onsite Tuesday-Thursday. Stanley Black & Decker is the world’s largest tool company, a global organization with approximately 48,000 professionals making their mark on iconic brands like DEWALT and STANLEY. This role is crucial for accelerating the development of future finance leaders through a structured, two-year program. Participants will contribute directly to the company’s business success while gaining invaluable early-career experiences.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and month-end close activities across assigned rotations.
• Perform financial analysis, variance analysis, and business performance reporting to support decision-making.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, supply chain, and commercial leaders to develop insights and recommendations.
• Contribute to projects focused on business priorities, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
• Prepare and present rotation learnings, project outcomes, and recommendations to finance leadership and senior leadership throughout the program.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related Business Field.
• Experience: Prior internship(s) in Corporate Finance, Accounting, or Data Analytics; 0-3 years of professional work experience (internship experience included); willingness to rotate every 6 months to a new area within Finance and potentially a new U.S. location (manufacturing or distribution site); willingness to travel up to 25%, domestic and international.
• Skills: Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the business including senior management; experience using Microsoft Excel, Access, Power BI, and other applications in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bonus: A desire to master Microsoft Excel, Access, Power BI, and other Microsoft Office Suite skills.
