The Tone:
This is a full-time Mechanical Engineering Development Program at Emerson, located in Elyria, OH. This three-year development program is designed for recent university graduates to build critical engineering skills and gain well-rounded experience within the Professional Tools business, directly impacting the development process and bringing innovative products to life for customers globally. Participants will rotate through various engineering functions, contributing to real-world projects and collaborating with dedicated individuals committed to revolutionizing the industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Drive: Drive new product development initiatives for customers, creating solutions that meet specific needs, including plumbing and electrical tools, accessories, and new market applications.
• Apply: Apply the latest technologies, state-of-the-art equipment, and advanced research facilities to transform innovative ideas into tangible products.
• Participate: Participate in structured rotational assignments focused on Manufacturing Engineering, gaining hands-on experience in production processes.
• Contribute: Contribute to Sustaining Engineering efforts, ensuring the ongoing performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of existing product lines.
• Implement: Implement Continuous Improvement methodologies within engineering development processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across projects.
• Collaborate: Collaborate with diverse teams and management, receiving mentorship and gaining multi-functional experience throughout the product development lifecycle.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field, suited for recent university graduates.
• Experience: Legally eligible to work in the United States; comfortable with up to 10% travel; able to relocate for positions as required for rotational assignments.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, including introducing new ways to approach challenges; effective communication skills across various settings and diverse groups; a collaborative approach to achieve shared organizational objectives; high motivation and initiative to identify and pursue new opportunities.
• Bonus: Prior engineering co-op or internship experience; a GPA of 3.25 or above; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated strong leadership and technical aptitude.
