The Tone:
This is an entry-level, full-time Early Career Development Program at HNI Corporation, located in Muscatine, IA. • Mission: To build solid, hands-on foundational skills within a lean manufacturing organization and gain a holistic view of the business and culture.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Leadership: Provide direction to department members to achieve daily customer satisfaction goals for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture.
• Coordination: Coordinate with support groups on all aspects of capacity, including material flow, work area layout, and equipment/process readiness.
• Engagement: Actively participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the overall success of the organization.
• Improvement: Support Continuous Improvement initiatives by participating in and enabling direct reports to engage in Rapid Continuous Improvement Events, project teams, and focus groups.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, with a four-year degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Organizational/Business Management, or an applicable discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 2.8 GPA and demonstrated high academic achievement in education pursuits.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, proven leadership characteristics, adept at cross-functional team collaboration, effective communication, and robust time-management skills.
• Bonus: Previous related experience working in lean manufacturing is strongly preferred.
