Morrison Healthcare Executive Fellowship Program | Compass Healthcare

The Tone:
This is a 12–18-month, full-time fellowship program at Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, primarily based in Seattle, WA, with coverage extending to WA, OR, CA, and AK. Morrison Healthcare is a leader in healthcare food and nutrition services, serving over 1,000 hospitals and healthcare systems nationwide with more than 31,000 associates. This program is designed to launch a healthcare leadership career by providing hands-on experience and executive development in the dynamic world of healthcare food and nutrition services operations. Fellows will gain comprehensive exposure to advance the healing and healthful missions of clients through the power of food.

• Pay: $95000–$130000 yearly
• Team: Reports to RVP/Division President for mentorship and project guidance, collaborating within a cohort.
• Mission: Develop future executives and leaders in healthcare food and nutrition services by providing in-depth operational expertise and strategic leadership development.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Immersion: Immerse in the intricacies of healthcare food and nutrition services operations through structured rotations in retail, culinary, patient services, and clinical settings, gaining comprehensive exposure to marketing, sales, technology, and financial management.
• Strategic Contribution: Participate in high-level strategic planning sessions, engage directly in client interactions with prestigious healthcare system clients, and contribute to the implementation and adoption of innovative technologies.
• Project Management & Execution: Lead and contribute to critical projects, including client Quarterly Business Reviews, the annual budget process development, technology implementations, new business openings, and quarterly RVP-assigned projects, culminating in a Capstone Project.
• Business Development & Growth: Actively participate in the sales process from prospecting to proposal development and financial proformas, while also gaining insights into key health system functions.
• Executive Development & Mentorship: Benefit from extensive orientation with operational VPs, finance, and technology leaders, leadership training through the Morrison Regional Leadership Academy, skill enhancement via Harvard Manage Mentor and AI Foundations, and ongoing operational immersion with executives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Recent or soon-to-be graduate degree holders (master’s level preferred) with a strong interest in leadership and healthcare.
• Experience: Prior professional work experience, particularly for individuals from graduate programs that require it.
• Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: A diverse background and skill set, and a willingness to relocate.
