Single Audit Intern – Summer 2027 | Carr, Riggs & Ingram
The Tone:
This is a seasonal internship at Carr, Riggs & Ingram, located in Indianapolis, IN. CapinCrouse, now part of CRI, serves over 1,600 mission-focused nonprofit organizations nationwide, providing support in key areas of financial integrity and security. As a nationally recognized accounting and advisory firm, CRI delivers tailored audit, tax, and business consulting expertise. This role contributes to providing high-quality client service and supports the firm’s collaborative, client-focused approach to ensure client success.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Serve: Provide high-quality service to clients as a productive member of assigned audit teams.
• Participate: Actively participate in office events and initiatives as a productive team member of the practice office.
• Develop: Actively pursue professional development with an initial focus on CPA certification.
• Advance: Actively develop auditing knowledge and skills to assume increasingly more complex audit and other assurance responsibilities.
• Uphold: Display integrity and professional behavior consistent with CapinCrouse’s focus, vision, mission and core values.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must have two or more years of university education completed by the start of the internship and be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Experience: No specific years of professional experience required beyond university education.
• Skills: Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team, high degree of discretion dealing with confidential information.
