Tax Intern (International Tax) | RKL LLP
The Tone:
This is a seasonal internship at RKL LLP, focusing on International Tax for Spring or Summer 2027. RKL’s tax professionals are dedicated to delivering proactive tax compliance and strategy solutions to client organizations, constantly monitoring industry and regulatory changes. This intern role is vital for supporting the international tax team in managing client engagements and contributing to the formulation of tax strategies. The intern will gain hands-on experience by assisting with core tax responsibilities and collaborating on projects that directly impact client success.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Documentation: Organize and upload various tax documents, ensuring accessibility and proper categorization for client files.
• Data Reconciliation: Reconcile tax data input, meticulously verifying information for accuracy and completeness.
• Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of business and individual tax returns, learning compliance requirements and relevant tax codes.
• Project Execution: Execute projects related to depreciation and fixed assets, applying theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with leadership to identify and propose opportunities for efficiencies within existing tax processes and workflows.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting.
• Experience: Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Skills: Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail; ability to multitask and prioritize work under tight deadlines; strong verbal and written communication skills with a client service focus; analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: Desire to pursue the CPA designation and a career in professional services/public accounting.
