Internal Audit Intern – Summer 2027 | Jewelers Mutual Group

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Assistance: Assist audit team members with reviews of financial and operational processes across the business.
• Process Documentation: Help document business processes to support the evaluation of control design and effectiveness.
• Evidence Management: Assist in gathering and organizing necessary evidence to support audit testing and conclusions.
• Collaborative Contribution: Participate in team discussions on control strengths and weaknesses, contributing observations and ideas for improvement.
• Project Completion: Complete a summer project or presentation, as assigned, to be shared with executive management and other interns.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Coursework or demonstrated interest in accounting, finance, business, or risk management.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written); basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); eagerness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative in a professional office environment; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Bonus: Projected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029 (or between December 2029 and May 2030); interest in pursuing a professional certification (CPA, CIA, CISA, CMA, or similar) after graduation; prior coursework, project, or leadership experience involving data analysis or business processes; demonstrated attention to detail and sound judgment.
