This is an in-person internship at Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. This role is crucial for ensuring the completion and accuracy of the company’s accounting and finance functions, specifically within the revenue domain. As part of a collaborative Shared Accounting Services team, this intern will contribute directly to a well-respected and financially stable organization, gaining valuable skills in a fun consumer services sector.

• Mission: To ensure the completion and accuracy of revenue accounting and finance functions for Six Flags Entertainment Corporation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Daily Revenue Operations: Develop practical experience in the daily revenue accounting process, including importing, reviewing, and validating data across point-of-sale and accounting platforms.
• Data Management: Collect, organize, and record revenue activity from non-integrated sources to support accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Vendor Payments: Assist in compiling, calculating, and preparing payments to third-party vendors according to revenue share agreements.
• Account Reconciliation: Support the reconciliation of assigned revenue-related balance sheet accounts by reviewing activity, identifying discrepancies, and assisting with resolution.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level candidate currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor’s degree program in accounting, finance, business management, or applicable related studies.
• Experience: Commitment to a minimum of thirteen (13) weeks in an intern/seasonal position.
• Skills: Ability to import and validate data, organize financial information, assist with payment calculations, and support account reconciliation.
• Bonus: Enthusiasm for hands-on accounting experience in a positive work environment.
