Winter 2027 Audit Internship (Condominiums and Cooperations Practice) | WilkinGuttenplan

The Tone:
This is a hybrid internship at WilkinGuttenplan, a leading mid-sized accounting and advisory firm based in New Jersey and New York City. The firm provides a multitude of accounting and advisory services to a diverse range of industries, including condominiums and cooperatives. This role is crucial for gaining hands-on experience in public accounting, specifically within the audit practices, and helping interns confirm their interest in the field. The TL;DR

• Type: Seasonal (mid-January through end of March, three full days per week)
• Location: Hybrid, New Jersey and New York City Area
• Pay: $28 hourly
• Mission: Actively participate in hands-on audit work within the Condominiums and Cooperations industry, providing valuable insights and support to skilled accounting professionals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Training: Enhance proficiency in utilizing advanced accounting software and tools effectively through dedicated sessions.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with experienced professionals to conduct audits, reviews, and compilations for diverse client assignments.
• Analysis: Analyze financial data, identify trends, and contribute to the development of comprehensive reports.
• Preparation: Assist in preparing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
• Learning: Acquire in-depth knowledge of industry regulations, accounting standards, and audit practices through shadowing and engagement.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current college junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience: Eagerness to participate in a winter internship from mid-January through the end of March, with the ability to commit to three full days per week (9am-5pm), and a keen interest in contributing to a medium-sized firm.
• Skills: Proficiency in basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office Suite; exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration; and a strong academic track record in Accounting studies.
