Solution Architect – Oracle | Zip
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Zip, located remotely in the USA. Zip provides an AI platform for enterprise procurement, designed to help companies manage resources by orchestrating procurement across teams, tools, and suppliers. This role is crucial for building the technical foundation of Zip’s ERP and integration ecosystem, specifically within the Oracle environment, to support scalable customer implementations and drive best-in-class standards.

• Mission: Standardize Zip’s integration with Oracle and other ERPs to enable scalable, repeatable customer implementations for enterprise customers.
• Tech Stack: Oracle EBS (Purchasing, Payables, General Ledger), Open Interface Tables, Public APIs/PL-SQL Packages, Oracle Integrated SOA Gateway (ISG), REST/SOAP services, XML, REST based endpoints, iPaaS tools, API configurations.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Architect Oracle Integrations: Design, maintain, and iterate on Zip’s core Oracle integration templates to ensure scalable, repeatable, and robust customer implementations.
• Bridge Product and Field: Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to align integration templates with core product architecture, field insights, and customer needs.
• Standardize Solutions: Analyze complex customer implementations to identify reusable data mapping patterns and system nuances, converting bespoke solutions into standardized internal assets.
• Support Pre-Sales: Partner with account teams to design and vet integration architectures during pre-sales, ensuring prospective customers are set up for smooth, best-practice deployments.
• Champion Excellence: Define, document, and promote technical solution consulting best practices, enhancing consistency and raising the technical bar across all implementations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Experienced professional with strong foundational knowledge of core Oracle EBS business processes, schema layouts, and data models, specifically within Oracle Purchasing, Payables, and General Ledger.
• Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience delivering integrations with Oracle environments, including past ERP implementation, integration, configuration, or administration experience.
• Skills: Familiarity with standard Oracle EBS integration methods (Open Interface Tables, Public APIs/PL-SQL Packages, Oracle Integrated SOA Gateway (ISG), REST/SOAP services); experience working with XML / REST based endpoints and standard authentication protocols; comfort working with API documentation; ability to test and troubleshoot integration errors; skill in translating highly technical information for various audiences.
• Bonus: Familiarity with iPaaS tools is preferred.
