What You’ll Actually Do
• Experience Building: Build a breadth of business development experience across Bristol Myers Squibb through a structured rotational program.
• Project Support: Learn and support various deal types and projects, gaining critical skills for identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic corporate initiatives.
• Transaction Engagement: Work on projects within diverse areas including M&A, divestitures, in-licensing, out-licensing, and the company’s equity portfolio.
• Deal Execution: Participate in teams responsible for assessing, recommending, and executing strategic deals and agreements that support BMS’s growth and market leadership.
• Leadership Preparation: Develop a comprehensive, well-rounded skill set designed to prepare for leadership roles in business development within the organization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: On track to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree by Spring 2027 (Class of 2027 students only). Must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of prior work experience, coupled with strong intellectual, financial, and analytical skills, and a demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new and complex concepts. Includes financial modeling skills.
• Skills: Demonstrated business acumen with proven capability to effectively communicate and adapt messages for various leadership audiences. Ability to effectively solution and pivot quickly to influence decision-making and collaborate seamlessly with internal and external stakeholders in a matrix organization. Strong time management skills, enabling autonomous work and effective teamwork.
• Bonus: Leadership potential is highly valued, along with a commitment to integrity, professionalism, and teamwork. Ability to quickly learn financial/accounting software.
