Accounting Intern – Baltimore (Summer 2027) | Myers & Stauffer
The Tone:
This is an internship at Myers & Stauffer, located in Baltimore, MD. Myers & Stauffer is a certified public accounting and health and human services consulting firm with over 900 associates nationwide, specializing in audit, accounting, data management, and consulting services for government-sponsored health care programs. This role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience while contributing to a firm that supports state and federal government health and human service clients focused on those in need. This position also offers the potential to become a direct hire in a full-time position after graduation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Work: Perform all aspects of a project or work in progress and apply knowledge gained to future projects.
• Firm Understanding: Develop a general understanding of Myers & Stauffer’s services.
• Client Communication: Respond to all inquiries and requests from various stakeholders.
• Goal Attainment: Strive to attain goals established by direct supervisors.
• System Proficiency: Gain computer proficiency relative to administrative programs, spreadsheets, word processing, and internet research.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Intern must be working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or a related field. This is an entry-level position.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required, but candidates should demonstrate active participation in student organizations and prior work experience.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, well-organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, ability to effectively multi-task with planning and efficiency, ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Bonus: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25.
