Staff Accountant | Delta Dallas

• Mission: Support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with financial reporting and treasury functions to ensure compliance and provide critical financial insights.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting Operations: Support the Senior Accountant with day-to-day accounting activities and prepare and record monthly revenue and other accounting transactions.
• Financial Statement Support: Assist with monthly financial statements, process journal entries, and perform general ledger reconciliations.
• Discrepancy Resolution & Analysis: Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual flux analyses.
• Treasury Management: Assist with daily treasury reporting, contribute to cash forecasting activities, and manage cash transactions and deposits.
• Compliance & Collaboration: Maintain complete and accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and collaborate with various internal teams to ensure transactions are accurately recorded across business operations and legal entities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. This role is tailored for an early-career accounting professional seeking foundational experience.
• Experience: 1–2 years of accounting experience is preferred, demonstrating an understanding of core accounting principles and practices.
• Skills: A strong and current understanding of GAAP, proficiency with Microsoft Office, robust verbal and written communication abilities, strong analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Bonus: A CPA certification or actively working toward a CPA is preferred; experience within the Oil & Gas industry is a plus but not mandatory.
