• Mission: Assist the accounting department with diverse duties to support accurate financial reporting, analysis, and the timely execution of the close process within a complex organizational structure.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial trends, costs, revenues, and financial commitments or obligations, while also assisting with necessary accruals.
• Operational Accounting Support: Provide assistance with fundamental accounting duties, including managing accounts payable and receivable processes, processing invoices, and performing critical data tracking.
• Financial Report Preparation: Contribute to the preparation of key financial reports, such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and various other required financial disclosures.
• Month-End Close Contribution: Assist in preparing monthly journal entries and play a role in ensuring that the financial close process is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• General Ledger Engagement: Participate in a range of general ledger activities, encompassing fixed assets and their related depreciation schedules, notes payable, inventory management, prepaids, investments, and cost allocations.

• Background: Entry-Level. This internship is designed for a student eager to gain practical experience and learn accounting and finance principles within a real-world business setting.
• Experience: A commitment of at least 8 weeks is required for the internship, offering an option for additional work experience.
• Skills: A developing understanding of accounting concepts, an aptitude for financial analysis, and a willingness to assist with various accounting duties such as accounts payable, receivable, and data tracking.
• Bonus: Flexible start dates to accommodate academic calendars, willingness to work 50+ hours per week including occasional weekends, and an interest in potentially extending the internship. Housing may also be provided depending on availability.
