What You’ll Actually Do
• Engagement Participation: Work on a diverse range of tax engagements across various industry niches, providing a broad understanding of tax practices.
• Tax Preparation Support: Assist directly in the meticulous preparation of tax extensions, various tax returns, and other essential filing requirements.
• Research & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive tax research to support engagement needs and ensure compliance with current tax regulations.
• Professional Development: Actively participate in internal tax trainings designed to deepen your knowledge and understanding of the tax field.
• Communication & Reporting: Maintain effective communication with seniors and managers, keeping them updated on the progress of assigned engagements.
• Career Exploration: Shadow different levels of staff within the firm to gain a clearer understanding of potential career paths and daily responsibilities at LMC.

The Must-Haves
• Background: You are currently a senior or Master’s student (depending on a 4 or 5-year curriculum) pursuing a degree in an accounting or tax program. The role is designed for entry-level candidates pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university, with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Experience: Availability to commit to working a minimum of 20 hours per week, starting in the Winter of 2027.
• Skills: Possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities. Demonstrate solid problem-solving skills, coupled with keen attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
