Audit Intern | AMERISAFE, Inc.

The Tone:
This is an Audit Intern position at AMERISAFE, Inc., located in DeRidder, LA. AMERISAFE is actively building its “Excellence Team” and is seeking a detail-oriented, productivity-driven professional for this role. The Audit Intern will play a crucial part by working directly with the audit department, gaining valuable on-the-job, hands-on experience, and applying acquired knowledge to complete routine tasks within various audit department assignments. This paid internship offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of audit department functions for its entire duration.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Observation and Documentation: Observe and meticulously document daily tasks within assigned areas, taking detailed notes on the specific requirements of job shadow assignments, particularly those involving audit processing and collections.
• Data Participation: Actively participate in the evaluation, precise data entry, and thorough analysis of data required within each assigned area of the audit department.
• Task Application: Apply foundational knowledge gained through direct observation and practical, hands-on experience to effectively contribute to routine tasks associated with various job functions within the audit team.
• Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive support for the daily administrative duties essential to the efficient operation of the audit team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Must be currently enrolled as a high school senior or college student.
• Experience: Possess basic computer knowledge, demonstrating accuracy in typing and data entry.
• Skills: Exhibit excellent written communication skills and strong verbal communication abilities, enabling effective interaction with staff at all levels throughout the organization.
• Bonus: Experience with Microsoft products is preferred.
