This is a hybrid winter internship at CohnReznick, located in Austin, TX. The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Seasonal (Winter 2028, approximately January-March)
• Location: Hybrid Austin, TX (in-office 3 days a week on average)
• Team: Works closely on an engagement team made up of other Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners. A Performance Coach will establish goals and provide feedback, and a CR Friend will offer peer support.
• Mission: To support audit teams by gaining hands-on experience with accounting and auditing practices, ultimately helping clients optimize performance and manage risk.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support audit engagements: Play a key role in supporting audit teams by working on all aspects of an audit engagement, including cash, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable.
• Manage liabilities and documentation: Search for unrecorded liabilities, maintain confirmation logs, and prepare comprehensive audit work papers accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with various services: Provide assistance across a range of services including audits, reviews, compilations, and general accounting services for diverse clients.
• Resolve client issues: Participate in the resolution of audit issues by obtaining necessary evidence and making informed inquiries of clients.
• Contribute to team workflow: Assist the audit team with daily client workflow, ensuring smooth operations and effective collaboration within the team.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and be on track to complete 150 credit hours for CPA eligibility. A minimum 3.2 GPA in both their major and overall is required.
• Experience: Successfully completed Intermediate Accounting with a grade of B or higher. Demonstrated leadership experience through student groups, activities, or team projects is also necessary.
• Skills: Exhibit excellent communication skills and demonstrate sharp critical thinking abilities. Candidates must be comfortable navigating changing environments, embracing adaptability, and possess advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, with an eagerness to learn new technologies.
