• Mission: Become familiar with current tax theories and laws and perform procedures in accordance with firm standards in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Return Preparation: Prepare a variety of client tax returns, including those for Individuals, Partnerships, and Corporations.
• Tax Issue Identification: Identify potential tax issues and prepare tax adjusting entries and tax trial balances based on audited or client-provided trial balances.
• Tax Research: Research filing requirements and tax issues using internal revenue code, treasury regulations, and other relevant authorities or guidance.
• Workflow Management: Manage daily client workflow and multiple client projects at any given time.
• Technical Writing: Draft tax technical memorandums for various client needs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting; plan to complete 150 credit hours to be CPA licensed; minimum GPA of 3.2 in both your major and overall; must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Experience: Prior work or internship experience, with experience in accounting being a plus.
• Skills: Exhibit excellent communication skills, demonstrate sharp critical thinking, and have advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bonus: Leadership positions in extracurricular activities are preferred.
