2027 Management Trainee Program | Butterball

The Tone:
This is a 12-month rotational Management Trainee Program at Butterball, with primary locations in Mount Olive, NC, Garner, NC, and Huntsville, AR. Butterball is the most recognized name in turkey, celebrating over 60 years of cherished memories by providing quality, great-tasting products that make meals special. This program offers recent graduates a unique opportunity to explore every area of the business, from live operations to production and distribution. The role is critical for developing the next generation of manufacturing and operations leaders, providing exposure to diverse career paths and preparing individuals for a successful career within Butterball.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Rotate: Rotate through multiple departments and business functions to gain a broad understanding of Butterball’s operations and how teams work together to achieve business goals.
• Build: Build relationships with leaders and team members across the company through rotational experiences, mentorship, and collaboration opportunities.
• Learn: Learn how leaders across the organization drive results through effective communication, employee development, strategic problem-solving, and teamwork.
• Participate: Participate in structured leadership development sessions focused on topics such as communication, presentation skills, situational leadership, business systems, and professional growth.
• Complete: Complete meaningful assignments and experiences that strengthen leadership, business acumen, and decision-making skills throughout the program.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Food Science, Agriculture, Business, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field, with expected graduation between December 2026 and May 2027.
• Experience: Demonstrated leadership, internship, co-op, campus involvement, work experience, or other developmental experiences.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, adaptability in navigating new environments, ability to work effectively in a team, curiosity and eagerness to learn, and a willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Bonus: Experience in agriculture, poultry, food manufacturing, operations, or a related industry.
