Client Service Advisor | Aon Consulting

This role is crucial for maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring efficient service delivery, and supporting the retention and growth of the client portfolio within the short-term insurance industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Relationship: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fulfilling service needs and resolving queries effectively.
• Lifecycle Management: Contribute to and provide input across the entire client life-cycle, including renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
• Business Development Support: Collaborate with Client Managers to generate and coordinate internal new business leads, supporting the cross-selling strategy.
• Service Delivery: Work with Client Managers to ensure high-quality, efficient, and compliant delivery of all client servicing administrative and transactional activities.
• Documentation & Communication: Prepare renewal notices, instruction forms, quotes, closing instructions, and proposal forms for clients and insurers, and communicate with insurers regarding client discount requests.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent. Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act and as a licentiate with the IISA. Requires good knowledge and understanding of Professional Indemnity and the ability to articulate and understand policy wordings.
• Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar or related role within the Short-Term Insurance industry.
• Skills: Advanced analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills; ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders; good interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to work effectively in and with teams.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree is preferable. A comprehensive knowledge of the South African and international short-term insurance markets will be advantageous, as will an in-depth strategic knowledge of industry and business strategies and company goals.
